Addie Model
The ADDIE model is a process used by instructional designers to plan and create effective learning experiences.
And good news – it’s straightforward and easy to use!
The ADDIE model is generic enough that it can be used to create any type of learning experience for any audience – from creating K-12 teaching lessons on cellular biology to developing corporate training programs for an ERP software upgrade.
Take a look at this QRG I created to explain the process.
User Guide
A user guide is an important document that helps your customers get on board with your product or service quickly, or helps them solve an issue when they get stuck.
Almost all products, whether physical, hardware, or software, are aided with an instruction manual to help users get up to speed with their product quickly.
Check out this User Guide I created to help customers schedule an appointment!
E-Learning
E-learning is a structured course or learning experience delivered electronically; it can also include performance support content. There are also many different elements that can make up an e-learning program, such as live or pre-recorded lecture content, video, quizzes, simulations, games, activities, and other interactive elements.
Check out my “Creating a Breastfeeding Friendly Space at a Workplace” course. This course is committed to sharing technical recommendations and good practices to facilitate the implementation of breastfeeding rooms and the creation of support structures within the workplace.
Quick Reference Guide
A quick reference guide is a one-or two- page set of condensed instructions on how to use a product. They can be highly detailed or very simple, depending on what's needed.
Check out this one-page of condensed instructions created by me on how to open and prepare a hair salon for a day of services!
